Suspensions or Neck Lifts
As
some people age, they don't like the appearance of their necks,
but they don't want a complete face lift.
To achieve an
improvement below the jaw line, and even some improvement of the
jowls, the loose skin can be "lifted".
Neck suspension
requires a small incision on the neck below the chin, under and
behind each ear lobe.
Liposuction is carried out in the heavier necks, the muscles are
approximated in the midline, and at the mid point of the neck,
sutures are passed through to the sides and are tied behind the
ears to create a more prominent jaw line. Suspension surgery can
be performed with a brow and mid facelift for a total facial
rejuvenation.
