How does it work?
Melanage Masque is applied during an office visit
where the practitioner compounds the peel at the time
of dispensing to ensure its potency and reliability.
The masque is removed by patient after a required length
of time according to their skin type. Patients leave office
with the masque on their face. Patients are responsible for
adhering to an easy-to-follow, at-home regimen involving
the application of Melanage home care products.

What will I experience during treatment?
The application of Melanage Masque takes approximately one hour. A uniform layer is applied by the practitioner. No discomfort is experienced and patients describe the procedure as soothing and relaxing. It is recommended to ensure that hair is tied back away from the face to avoid getting product in it. The masque remains on the face for 5 to 10 hours according to the patient's skin type. The rest of the treatment continues at home and involves weekly follow-up visits for one month.
Approximately 48 hours after application, the skin will begin to peel... this peeling will last for 2 - 5 days.
Results vary, but patients will see a significant improvement in the appearance of pigmented areas. Dark spots will lighten and skin texture and tone will improve. Some patients may not notice actual peeling, please note that you are still receiving the complete benefits of the Melanage skin lightening treatment.
